Heather Blue, assistant professor, presented "PharmD in the ED: Initiating Clinical Services within an Emergency Department" for the College of Pharmacy Clinical Affairs Seminar Series on January 8, 2019.

Kerry Fierke, associate professor, et al. presented a February 12, 2019, webinar titled "Leadership Development SIG’s Virtual Symposium: A guide to creating your own virtual program" for the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy Webinar Series.

Fierke, Gardner A. Lepp, education program specialist 2, W. D. Maxwell, Keri D. Hager, associate professor, and B. J. Sucher had their article "Improving advanced pharmacy practice experiences with an intention/reflection practice" published in Currents in Pharmacy Teaching & Learning 2019.

Amanda Klein, assistant professor, presented "Pain Signaling Molecules in the Nervous System" to the Department of Chemistry at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, on February 15, 2019.

T. Jurgenson, T. Okerman, W. Luu, E. Salo, N. Entenmann, J. Bjork, K. Johnson, researcher 2, C. Fisher, researcher 2, and Klein presented a poster, "Decreased Activity and Function of KATP Channels Subtypes in the Nervous System Contribute to Loss of Morphine Analgesia and Increased Morphine Tolerance," at the Opioid Crisis and the Future of Addiction and Pain Therapeutics: Opportunities, Tools, and Technologies Symposium, held February 7-8, 2019, in Bethesda, Maryland.

Laura Palombi, assistant professor, is featured in the February 14, 2019, Duluth News Tribune article, "$1.5 million in grants target opioids in rural northern Minnesota."
