Karen Bastianelli, associate professor and director, Pharmaceutical Care Learning Center, has been named an American Pharmacists Association (APhA) 2021 fellow. She is recognized by APhA for education and support to early-career pharmacists and directly giving back to her community.

Amanda Klein, assistant professor, presented “Pruriception and Neuronal Coding in Nociceptor Subtypes in Human and Nonhuman Primates.” University of Minnesota Pain Interest Group. December 18, 2020. [via Zoom]

Meena Muragappan, Social & Administrative Pharmacy (SAPh) graduate student and mentee of Randy Seifert, professor and associate dean for student and professional affairs, is the recipient of the Biruta K. and Peter A. Olstein Fellowship awarded to a full and -time CoP PhD graduate student with exceptional potential in their field.

Trang Dang, SAPh graduate student and mentee of David Stenehjem, associate professor and associate department head, was offered a Traineeship through Hillrom, a medical technology provider, in the Health Outcomes and Economic Research Division and will provide funding for the next year. This is a new traineeship and partnership between the SAPh graduate program and Hillrom.

Zach Rivers, PharmD, SAPh graduate student and mentee of Stenehjem, has accepted a post-doctoral fellowship at the Fred Hutchinson Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research with Scott Ramsey, MD, PhD, contingent on defending his dissertation in March/April 2021.
