M. Oswald, P. Bookstaver, Kerry Fierke, associate professor, N. Griffith, S. Davis, E. Catchings, C. Worrall, A. Grant, J. Magagnoli, and W. Maxwell presented the poster “Behavior and Communication Styles of PharmD Students Pursuing and Matching for Post-graduate Pharmacy Residency Training” at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Midyear Meeting, held December 8-12, 2019, in Las Vegas, Nev.

Amanda Klein, assistant professor, gave a podium presentation,“KATP Channels as Downstream Targets of Opioid Signaling: Involvement in Opiate Efficacy, Tolerance and Withdrawal,” at the NYU College of Dentistry on December 9, 2019, in New York, N.Y.

Paul Ranelli, professor, received word that he has been recommended for a Fulbright U.S. Scholar award (Italy) through a peer review process organized by the Institute of International Education’s Council for International Exchange of Scholars (IIE/CIES). This is the first phase of a rigorous review process that Fulbright applicants undergo.

Stenehjem, associate professor and associate department head, gave an oral presentation entitled "Impact of glioblastoma (GBM) patients’ clinical and treatment characteristics on caregiver burden and quality of life (QOL)" (Presenter: Willis) at the Society of Neuro Oncology on November 20, 2019, in Phoenix, Ariz., and had their abstract by the same name with D. Brixner, published in Neuro-Oncology 21(Supplement_6), vi199-vi199.

Skingley, and Stenehjem presented a poster “A Phase I/II Clinical Trial of the Reversible LSD1 Inhibitor, Seclidemstat, in Patients with Relapsed/Refractory Ewing Sarcoma” at the Epigenetics Symposium: 15 Years of Lysine Demethylases: From Discovery to the Clinic on December 16, 2019, in Philadelphia, Penn.
