Honoring the big milestone, Duluth Dylan Fest and KUMD is hosting a musical celebration this Saturday, October 15, from 8 pm to midnight at the Rex Bar at Fitgers.
Bushey, who has done the show in a volunteer capacity, will be honored by the City of Duluth at Saturday’s event. The event will also feature a Dylan-themed silent auction with rare memorabilia signed by Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Donovan, and more. Magic Marc Percansky will be the Master of Ceremony and the music will be provided by Cowboy Angel Blue, The Boomchucks and special guests. Tickets ($10) are available online at Eventbrite and at the door.
Highway 61 Revisited is a weekly show on KUMD airing on Mondays and Saturday’s from 5-6pm. The show is one of a handful of KUMD programs that has consistently aired for more than two decades, and John Bushey’s commitment to the show is a great example of the passion for music that KUMD volunteers bring to the airwaves.
