What: As part of Governor Dayton’s “Water Action Week” Commissioner Larry Pogemiller, Minnesota Office of Higher Education, will visit key water research programs at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Larry Pogemiller, Commissioner of the Minnesota Office of Higher Education, will be in Duluth on Friday, April 22 as part of Governor Mark Dayton’s Water Action Week.

Governor Mark Dayton has proclaimed April 17 – 23 to be Water Action Week in Minnesota. Throughout the week, Governor Dayton will visit school classrooms, water treatment facilities, research institutions, and farms to encourage Minnesotans to learn more about the challenges facing Minnesota’s waters and empower every individual to take actions in their own lives to be part of the solution.

The Duluth visit is designed to emphasize the value of the Great Lakes and a need to protect them.
