Professor Jill Doerfler, American Indian Studies, was invited to contribute an overview statement regarding the impacts of colonization in the Woodlands during this period for the Art of Native America: The Charles and Valerie Diker Collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This landmark exhibition in the Museum's American Wing will showcase 116 masterworks representing the achievements of artists from more than fifty cultures across North America.
Doerfler will attend a reception and preview event on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
