Wanna learn about the latest scientific research taking place on Lake Superior? An event for the whole family, this is a chance to get a glimpse of the work scientists are doing on our great lake.
The scientists and staff of UMD's Large Lakes Observatory (LLO) invite the public to board and tour the research vessel Blue Heron to learn the latest about lake research. During 2016, LLO will continue to offer the popular "LLO Science On Deck" events with presentations on scientific topics on a Friday afternoon. This year's dates for "LLO Science On Deck" are May 27, July 22, August 26 and September 23.
Tours start at 12:00 and presentations will start at 3:15.
The R/V Blue Heron will tie up during these events in the Twin Ports Harbor near the Great Lakes Aquarium, 353 Harbor Drive.
