In addition, to the tour, a Town Hall is being held on Tuesday, October 1 from 1 - 1:30 p.m. in the Kirby Ballroom. This is an opportunity for President Gabel to share her systemwide strategic plan and answer questions from UMD’s students, faculty, and staff.
An alumni meet and greet is being hosted at Glensheen on Tuesday, October 1 from 5 - 6 p.m.

Joan T.A. Gabel is the 17th president of the University of Minnesota. She leads the University’s mission by honoring its legacy as a place of discovery and opportunity, while emphasizing solutions inspired by Minnesotans that serve our state and change the world.
Gabel started at the University of Minnesota on July 1, 2019. She was inaugurated on September 20, 2019.
Gabel most recently served as executive vice president and provost at the University of South Carolina.
