On Thursday, February 11 at noon, the One River, Many Stories project and the Duluth News Tribune are hosting a brown bag conversation about collaboration versus competition in journalism.

Bring your lunch and join three top, local media experts for an informal panel discussion on competition, credibility, and the new media landscape. Has journalism really changed? What impact are citizen journalists and bloggers having on the local media scene? How can there be stronger collaboration among area media?

The panelists are Neal Ronquist, publisher of the Duluth News Tribune; Barbara Reyelts, news director for KBJR 6 and Range 11 and KDLH 3 News; and Paul DeMain, CEO of IndianCountryTV.com and News From Indian Country. Read Neal Ronquist’s Q&A with UMD journalism professor John Hatcher here.

Location: Duluth News Tribune, 424 W. First St. Duluth, Minnesota 55802

Please allow plenty of time for parking.

The discussion will begin promptly at noon in the DNT conference room next to the lobby.

Newsroom tour: A limited number of spots are available for a brief newsroom tour after the event.
