2017 Northland Community Wellness Day

This FREE family-friendly event will be held March 25 from 10 am-2 pm in UMD's Romano Gym.

The 8th Annual Northland Community Wellness Day (NCWD) will be held Sat., Mar. 25 in UMD's Romano Gymnasium from 10 am-2 pm. The event and parking are FREE.

NCWD is committed to providing an inclusive community event that highlights local wellness resources and services through interactive exhibits, workshops, and family friendly activities. 

More than 75 wellness-related businesses and organizations will provide exhibits. The event also highlights indoor rock-climbing and slacklining, bounce houses, and games with the UMD athletes. A new highlight this year is that NCWD is the official pick-up site for The Duluth KidsClub Summer Camp Resource Guide.

10:30 -11:00 am: MN College Savings Plan, Saving for College

11:15-11:45 am: Master Gardeners, Bees, Butterflies & Other Pollinators

12:00-12:30 pm: Birch Tree Center, Mental Health Support & Resources

12:45-1:15 pm: UMD Police Department, Basic Self Defense Skills

1:30-2:00 pm: Duluth Police Department, An update from the Duluth Police Department Drug Task Force

NCWD's mission is to promote healthy families and communities through education and awareness on health & wellness, public safety, sustainability and financial literacy.

The event is presented by St. Louis County, UMD Health Services, and the City of Duluth.
