Nevertheless, We Persist

UMD hosts Women's History Month celebration with keynote speaker Karen Diver on March 19.

UMD presents a Women’s History Month celebration: Nevertheless, We Persist: Feminist Past and Futures in the Twin Ports. The series, sponsored by the advisory board for Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, includes a variety of discussions, films, and keynote speakers to honor and respect women in society.

Karen Diver, (pictured above) the College of St. Scholastica Faculty Fellow for Inclusive Excellence, will present "The Recognition of Women of Color in Today's Feminism" as part of UMD’s Women's History Month celebration. This free event, which is open to the public, will take place at 5 p.m. on March 19, 2018, in Kirby Rafters.
