On the Road Again

UMD students head to the Capitol for Bulldog Lobby Day.

Just after the sun rises on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, nearly 40 students, faculty, and staff are boarding a bus headed for the State Capitol in St. Paul.

Bulldog Lobby Day, an annual event, starts at around 7:45 a.m. as the group gathers in the Kirby Bus Hub, 1208 Kirby Drive. They are scheduled to depart at 8 a.m. Participants are available for interviews at this time.

“Bulldog Lobby Day is a student-created event that takes students directly to the State Capitol to speak with state legislators,” says UMD Student Association President Mike Kenyanya. “It’s the cornerstone of our advocacy campaign.”
