Calling All Ghosts, Super Heroes & Princesses!

UMD hosts first "Boo M D" on October 30 in Kirby Ballroom for the community. And it's FREE!

UMD Housing & Residence Life is excited to announce our annual Halloween extravaganza. This year we’re hosting the first ever “Boo M D” on Tuesday, October 30, from 4:30-6 pm in the Kirby Student Center Ballroom.

The Kirby Ballroom will be set up with a variety of booths featuring games, activities, face painting, and, of course, candy. The booths will be hosted by UMD students, student organizations, and various University departments.

"Boo M D" will provide opportunities for all ghosts, witches, vampires, super heroes, and princesses to celebrate Halloween in a fun and safe environment. Hosting "Boo M D" in the Kirby Student Center will provide families with an accessible environment that is open to all in a contained area that won’t require you to have a map in order to locate where to find the tricks or the treats.

Parking will be available in Parking Lot “E”, located near the Kathryn Martin Library. Additionally, the Kirby Student Center is located next to the UMD Bus Hub if you choose to travel to campus via the DTA.  The Ballroom is located on the 3rd floor of the Kirby Student Center.

We’ll also be accepting donations again this year in the form of gently used winter clothing for UMD students and the Damiano Center.

We’re excited to have our community members and families back to UMD this fall, and we’re excited to being this new tradition!
