Board of Regents at UMD

The University of Minnesota Board of Regents are meeting at UMD this week, Thursday and Friday, March 23 and 24, 2017.

 The meeting agenda details the locations and topics, including:

Touring buildings in need of renovation– Romano Gymnasium and the Chemistry Building, a poster session highlighting UMD research on the 4thfloor Library Rotunda, tours of the Tutoring Center and Securing Math and Learning Lab, Cina Hall renovation and Tribal Governance Program, and Academic Health Training at the Medical School

Newly-elected Regents Ken Powell and Steve Sviggum will join returning Regents Darrin Rosha and David McMillan in taking the oath of office at 8:45 a.m. in the Kirby Ballroom, 1120 Kirby Drive. Minnesota Court of Appeals Judge Larry Stauber will administer the oath.

This is the first time that the Regents have hosted a meeting on a system campus since 2008.

The Board of Regents serve six-year, unpaid terms. There are 12 governing members.
