On Monday, January 28, Dr. Ronald Berger, Sociology faculty emeritus from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater, will discuss his book Children, Save Yourselves! One Family's Story of Holocaust Survival.
This free event is open to the public. The talk begins at 7 pm in Montague 80 on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus.
Dr. Berger will discuss the Holocaust through the lens of his own family’s experiences in Nazi-occupied Poland. Copies of his book will be available for purchase. He will also sign books following his talk.

About the Speaker
Ronald J. Berger, Ph.D. is professor emeritus of sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He has published numerous books and articles on topics that include crime and criminal justice, disability, and the Holocaust. His books on the Holocaust include The Holocaust, Religion, and the Politics of Collective Memory; Surviving the Holocaust: A Life Course Perspective; and most recently, Children, Save Yourselves! One Family’s Story of Holocaust Survival, an account of his father’s and uncle’s survival.
