Reindeer Herding: Past and Present

Guest from Finland to speak on topic of Reindeer Herding. 

Antti Pätsi, a reindeer herder from Lohiranta, Finland, will speak on the topic of Reindeer Herding, both past and present. The presentation will take place at the University of Minnesota Duluth Kathryn A. Martin Library in the 4th Floor Rotunda at 6:30 p.m. on January 31, 2019. 

Antti is
 studying Agrology at the Lapland University of Applied Sciences, Rovaniemi, Finland. He is with the Akanlahti reindeer herding cooperative, which is part of the Kuusamo reindeer marking district. He has also served as a safari guide in Rovaniemi where he worked with Arctic reindeer. 

This event is free and all are welcome.
