As Information Literacy Librarian, Rachel will lead the library's information literacy instruction program. This involves coordinating the instruction librarians deliver for UMD's first year writing course, College Writing; leading the library's student learning assessment efforts; and facilitating collaborative learning for librarians who teach.
Previously, Rachel Flynn served as Academic Librarian and Visiting Assistant Professor at Gustavus Adolphus College, where she delivered reference services and course-integrated, information literacy instruction to undergraduate students and provided collection development and curricular support to six academic departments as a liaison. She completed her Master of Library and Information Studies degree at UW-Madison in 2018.
