  • October 3, 2017, 12:30-3:30 pm
  • Mount Royal Branch of Duluth Public Library
  • 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle, Duluth, MN 55803

All members of the UMD campus community are invited to visit the Mount Royal Branch of the Duluth Public Library on Tuesday, October 3 from 12:30-3:30 pm to sign up for a public library card! Bring your photo ID, proof of your current address or your campus ID, and a friend or two. This free event will also include cake, a visit from Champ, and prize drawings!

With a Duluth Public Library card, UMD students, faculty, and staff can access books, DVDs, ebooks, audiobooks, and online resources for free, including many that are not available through UMD’s Kathryn A. Martin Library. The Duluth Public Library also hosts a variety of free events, including film screenings and book discussions.

If you’d like a library card but can’t attend Tuesday’s event, visit a Duluth Public Library location any time during their scheduled hours to sign up!

This event is co-sponsored by the Duluth Public Library and Kirby Program Board.

The Duluth Public Library Card Sign-Up Day is part of the Reading Without Walls program, which is designed to create a community of readers at UMD and in Duluth and encourage participants to encounter, discuss, and share diverse ideas, characters, genres, and perspectives through reading.
