March 2017 Ed Tech Update

Tech Jams and Moodlerooms/Canvas demos are available this month.

Tech Jams

Tech Jams are face-to-face active learning sessions for faculty and staff on a variety of technology topics followed by an open session to continue hands-on work and address on-going projects. The sessions are free and registration is not required.

Unless otherwise noted, all Tech Jam sessions are scheduled from 12:30-1:30 p.m. and will be held in Kirby Plaza 175. An open session continues from 1:30-2 p.m. also in Kirby Plaza 175. Please bring your laptop or mobile device if you'd like to follow along. A limited number of laptops will be available to borrow if you don't have one of your own.

Moodlerooms and Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) Demonstrations

Vendor demonstrations of Moodlerooms and Canvas are scheduled during March as detailed below. All sessions will be live via WebEx and also recorded for review after the events. UMD Educational Technology will share WebEx links with UMD community via email when made available
