A New Issue of Split Rock Review Published

The online magazine was founded by former ELWS faculty member Crystal Gibbins, and edited by current ELWS faculty member Whitney Jacboson.

Split Rock Review is an online literary magazine founded in 2012 by Crystal S. Gibbins. Its name is inspired from the historic landmark, Split Rock Lighthouse, located on Lake Superior’s north shore.

SRR provides a venue for writers of any background, in any stage of their careers, to showcase their best work. They publish innovative place-based and environmental poetry, creative non-fiction, graphic narratives, comics, and artwork. They also hold an annual poetry chapbook contest and publish themed anthologies.

Writing Studies faculty member Whitney Jacobson serves on the editorial staff of the journal, as well as teaching courses in first-year writing, advanced writing, and memoir for the Department of ELWS.
