Actor Gary Farmer (Cayuga Nation, Wolf Clan) will give a talk on Monday, November 5 at 4:30 pm in the Kathryn A. Martin 4th Rotunda. He has over 100 film and TV appearances to his credit, including Smoke Signals, Dead Man, Longmire, and Powwow Highway.
He talk is entitled "People's Media is the Message: The significance of Native media for both Native and non-Native audiences." This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
Farmer is recognized as a pioneer in the development of FIrst Nations media in Canada and is the founding director of Aboriginal Voices Radio Network.
