Elizabethada Wright wins Robert A. Miller CEA Memorial Prize for best essay.

 

Professor Elizabethada WrightDepartment of English, Linguistics, and Writing Studies, has won the Robert A. Miller CEA Memorial Prize for the best essay in The CEA (College English Association) Critic for 2019.

The essay, “A (c)atholic English Education: The Development of the Discipline of English in Nineteenth- and Early-Twentieth-Century Schools Run by American Catholic Women Religious,” furthers understanding of both the histories of pedagogy in composition and literature by focusing on Catholic schools run by women religious.
