Why did you choose to work at UMD?
I'm a UMD alum, and wanted to build a life in Duluth. I had to move away for several years, and when I saw this position in the college I graduated from, it felt like it was meant to be.
What do you like most about your job?
The people! Our college has so many fantastic folks, and they enrich my life in myriad ways. I’m grateful to be a member of this community where people genuinely want to make a difference in the lives of others.
Do you have any advice for students?
Learn how to be okay with uncertainty, and be patient with yourself. I also think it’s important for students to know that it’s okay if you don’t know what you’re going to do when you graduate. I had a zigzaggy journey after high school, and didn’t know that technology support was something I wanted to pursue until I got my first professional job.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I’m an avid Bulldog hockey fan! I also enjoy spending time in the woods, jigsaw puzzling, and playing and listening to music.
