Champ the Bulldog has been honored with a new bronze sculpture. The sculpture was installed in front of the Darland Administration Building on August 8, 2023. Nearby parking and accessible pathways, provide easy access for campus visitors, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends to snap a picture with Champ. The location also serves as a primary walkway for prospective students taking a campus tour.
This piece, created by Minnesota-based sculptor Nick Legeros, was designed after UMD’s standing-Champ logo. Additional landscaping and signage will be completed in the spring. Alumni and Bulldog fans are encouraged to stop by campus to visit Champ.
