The Career Center offers many helpful resources and services for students at every stage of their career.

Over 70 employers attended the October 6, 2022 Business Humanities and Communication Career Fair, hosted in partnership with the College of St. Scholastica and UW-Superior.

The UMD Career Center offers many resources to prepare students for their futures, among them are career fairs. Whether you’re looking for an internship, your life’s calling, or you simply want to practice your elevator pitch in a welcoming and engaging environment, career fairs are opportunities to network and develop yourself professionally.

Fall ‘22 was the first semester to host in-person fairs since the start of the pandemic.

The UMD Career Center hosts career fairs every semester, with three in the fall in Duluth (one STEM-focused, one accounting- and finance-focused, one general). During the spring they host another STEM-focused fair on the UMD campus and co-host the UMN Job & Internship Fair in Minneapolis with the rest of the UMN campus career offices. Each fair is open to all students.

Connecting students with employers from around the region through both in-person and remote events, career fairs are a great way to practice meeting with employers, sharing experiences and resumes, and can help make connections that prove instrumental in developing careers.
