Find Books on Wellness Here
Borrow titles from the library's new Wellness Collection to get a jump start on your healthy lifestyle.
Curated in consultation with UMD's Employee Wellness Program, a new collection is being developed at the Kathryn A. Martin Library, shelved on the first floor. You can find the Wellness Collection between the Audiobook Collection and the current newspaper shelves.
The Wellness Collection includes books on self-help, nutrition, fitness, and other topics related to wellness, and they can be checked out for four weeks at a time.
Materials that focus on well-being from a physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, social, occupational, and environmental standpoint will be managed by Kayleen Jones, the library's Education & Human Service Professions Librarian.
To help get the collection started, UMD's Wellness Collaborative donated a number of books, and others were relocated from the library's general collection.
Starting in 2018, $500 will be budgeted annually to augment the collection.
