Unwind with Stress-Less Week in the library!

Stress-less Week, the library's popular series of events designed to help students relieve stress before finals week, will return this December. Events take place the week of December 4-10 and are free for all UMD students! Dates and times for these events will be announced in November.

Stress-less Kickoff Night

Kick off Stress-less Week with free snacks, prizes, and hourly wellness breaks in the Learning Commons! Tutors, writing consultants, Multimedia Hub staff, and reference librarians will be on hand for after-hours help with those last minute projects.

Coffee with Champ

Get an early start on your studies by joining Champ for free coffee!

Smoothies

Gain energy and focus with a green smoothie from Health Services!

Massage

Unwind with a chair massage from RSOP's Nancy Schwerdt!

Stress-Ball Make or Take

Make, decorate, or take your own stress ball! Sponsored by UMD Health Services.

Yoga

Take a yoga break with the UMD Yoga Club and enter a raffle to win a free yoga mat! No previous yoga experience necessary, mats provided.

Zoomobile on Tuesday

December 6, 1:00–3:00pm, Library first floor
Some of the zoo's smallest and cutest animals will provide a welcome distraction from studying.

Pet Away Worry & Stress (PAWS) on Thursday

December 7, 11:00am–1:00pm, Kirby Lounge
Stop by and stress less with some lovable canines, cats and miniature horses! Representatives from Humane Educators and Animal Allies will be on campus with animals to play with, hold, and pet! Sponsored by Animal Allies, KUMD, Kathryn A. Martin Library, UMD Employee Wellness and Health Services. Volunteer support provided by SERVE.

All week on the library first floor:
Board games and coloring: Take a break with a board game or some crayons!

Arts and crafts: Take a break with some origami!

Coffee bean counting contest: Guess how many beans are in a jar and enter to win a UMD Dining Services gift card!
