Climate Assessment: GLBTQAI World Café to be Held
UMD’s GLBTQAI Commission is hosting a World Café on March 31.
UMD’s GLBTQAI Commission is hosting a World Café on Thursday, March 31 from 7 – 9 p.m. The event takes place in Griggs Center, Room 201 of the Kirby Student Center, 1117 University Drive.
The event coincides with the International Transgender Day of Visibility.
Participants will discuss the current climate for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, ally, and intersex people at UMD.
The World Café format encourages small group conversations, with participants moving between a series of tables throughout the evening.
Erin Olson, GLBT Services Student Support Advisor, says participants will easily catch on to the setup. “We’re confident that everyone will be able to appreciate the ideas and thinking a World Café can naturally develop.”
