February 2017 news from UMD's Center for Economic Development.

Curt Walczak and Shannon Benolken instructed three separate two-day Profit Mastery courses. One in the UMD Center for Economic Development (CED) office, one in Grand Rapids at the Itasca Technology Exchange, and one for the Arrowhead Builders Association in Hermantown. This course focuses on overcoming common business problems, using tools to take active control of your finance, understanding your financial position, making effective pricing decisions, evaluating and managing cost patterns, succession planning and transition, making your business bankable, how to avoid cash crunches, and strengthening your lender relationships.

UMD CED hosted a Labovitz School of Business and Economics (LSBE) MBA informational session that focused on the program requirements, coursework, and tips for getting into the program.

UMD CED facilitated a series of six Excel classes on campus for LSBE Students. These classes ranged from beginner to expert.
