The We All Belong Creativity Exhibit, an all-campus art show with art, poetry, and video, made its debut on March 2, 2021. It is focused on the theme Being Antiracist, Doing Antiracism. The UMD Chancellor’s Unit Climate Change Team was the organizer of the creativity exhibit. 2021 is the third year the committee has presented an art show with work from students, faculty, and staff.There were two ways to see the exhibit: online and outside at UMD.

Prize Winners
Twenty-nine students received prizes for their work in the We All Belong Creative Exhibition. The recipients are listed below.
Gold prize winners receive a $100 gift card. The winners include: Audrey Przbyl for the 2-D art piece, “Untitled,” Mx Reineke for the 2-D art piece, “Flower Boy Part 2,” and Ethan Schuman for the video “Hearts United.”
Silver prize winners receive a $50 gift card. The winners include: Jayna Brown for the 2-D art piece, “The Tree of Solidarity;” Bailey Misuara for the photography piece, “We Can’t Be Silenced;” Mx Reineke for the 2-D art piece, “Flower Boy Part 1, and Lin Rose for the 2-D art piece, “Superior Belonged to Her.”
Bronze prize winners receive a $25 gift card. The winners include: Sarah Amundson, for the 2-D art piece, “Media Control;” Laura Anderson, for the 2-D art piece, “Inside a Dream Catcher;” Ayooluwateso Coker, for the poetry, “Words;” Lauren Jeanne Gotvald, for the 2-D art piece, “Skin Color Should Not Differentiate a Protest From a Riot;" Rachelle Hooks, for the 2-D art piece, “Frank Big Bear Inspired Drawing;” Emma Kromer, for the 2-D art piece, “Untitled;” Noah Larson, for the 2-D art piece, “We Are Connected;” Claire Neilson, for the 2-D art piece, “Piece of Me;” Blake Oquist for the poetry, “Long Term Memory Loss;” and Lisa Xiong, for the 2-D art piece, “Unity & Presence” A and B.”
Honorable Mention prize winners receive a $10 gift card. The winners include: Mandy Bogle, Jayna Brown, Ayooluwateso Coker, Lauren Driste, Eric Gunderson, McKenna Haller, Olivia Hollander, Christina Jones, Anna Kochevar, Cole Longwell, Victoria McGary-Dodge, Bailey Misuara, Audrey Przbyl, Luke Ryan, Morgan Schmitz, Annie Seaberg, and Anita Staupe.
About the Summit
The creative exhibition was part of the 2021 Summit on Equity, Race, & Ethnicity: "Being Antiracist, Doing Antiracism," which ran virtually from March 2-4, 2021 with more than 500 people participating. Dr. Ibram X. Kendi held a virtual conversation about the urgent issues of race, equity, and justice in America today. Kendi is one of the nation’s foremost historians and leading antiracist voices.
