More Than Just a Conference

The BGS Global Leadership Summit through the eyes of senior KeKe Sirjord, organizational management & math double major.

In early November, I had the opportunity to attend the Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) Global Leadership Summit in Chicago. [Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society, recognizes and honors top performing students from accredited business schools.] I figured this conference would be amazing, but it exceeded my expectations. From CEOs to CFOs to founders and more, the speaker selection was truly impressive. I was able to listen to professionals who have had enormous success in their careers. Their insight was inspiring as I look to start my own career soon.

As I was surrounded by over 400 students and professionals from around the world at the BGS Summit, I made numerous global connections. I also learned more about the business world through their eyes. Being around driven, talented students was energizing.

This conference is one that would not have been possible for me without the support of my BGS Chapter and LSBE. I thank them for allowing me to be a part of such a unique and valuable opportunity that has helped me tremendously in my professional development and in building my network.

The BGS Global Leadership Summit is a premier annual event where hundreds of the highest achieving students from the top 5% of business schools around the world gather for a unique learning experience.
