Info: Equity and Diversity Exhibit 2022

UMD Students to be awarded cash prizes and recognition.

The Chancellor's Unit Campus Climate Change Team announces the 2022 We All Belong Creativity Exhibit, an all-campus art show focused on the themes of equity and diversity.

Submit Your Work

Students, staff, and faculty are all encouraged to submit artwork beginning in January 2022. Entries will be assembled into a video for everyone to view on March 2 as a part of the 2022 Summit on Equity, Race, and Ethnicity. Student work is eligible for recognition in three display venues, and multiple cash prizes of $25 will be awarded.

New formats: A Video, a Library Display, and a Mural
In 2021 this exhibit took on a new form with an outdoor projection and a YouTube video. In 2022, in addition to the outdoor projection and the YouTube video, selected pieces will be chosen by the Media Hub for a physical display in the UMD library for up to six weeks. In addition, one entry will be chosen for a hallway mural on campus.

All of the entries will be assembled in a video for everyone to view beginning on Wednesday, March 2 as part of the 2022 Summit on Equity, Race, and Ethnicity. The winners will be announced in the Kirby Rafters at 12 pm and after the awards, the video will run until 1:30 pm. On the evening of March 2, the video will be shown from 5:30-7:30 pm outside on the walkway between the Med School and HCAMS.

Winners will be contacted no later than March 1.
