Associate Professor Olihe Okoro is featured in the Duluth News Tribune article “Inside a grassroots effort to vaccinate Black people in Duluth.”

Okoro was selected to join the 2021-2022 cohort of Engaged Scholars as part of its Engaged Scholars Initiative. The Engaged Scholars Initiative, now in its second year, aims to develop a diverse group of early-career faculty and staff who can lead equity-focused change at their institutions and in communities.

Okoro was selected as a 2021 Health Disparities Research Institute Scholar. The Health Disparities Research Institute is scheduled to take place August 9-13, 2021.

Okoro was the keynote speaker at the Dakota Conference on Rural and Public Health on June 4, 2021, presenting Racism as a Public Health Problem. [Via Zoom]
