K. Jones, Fierke, and Gardner A. Lepp, Adjunct Assistant Professor and Education Specialist, were awarded the Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) 2021-2022 Leadership Development Special Interest Group Best Poster Award for their poster entitled, "Teaching Conflict Management: Customizing Content to Increase Value, Confidence, and Ability during a Pandemic." The LD SIG Poster Award recognizes a recently presented Leadership Development-related poster demonstrating excellence.

Okoro, Susana Pelayo-Woodward, Assistant to the Chancellor for Inclusive Excellence, I. Han, and J. Onchwari presented “Finding sisterhood in a distant land”: Community-based Social Support  that enhances Well-being  for Women of Color in Academia at the UMD Summit on Equity, Diversity & Race. March 2, 2022.

Okoro presented “Implicit bias in Healthcare: What our patient notes tell us . . . about us!” at the COP Residency Academic Day. March 11, 2022.

Anthony W. Olson, Adjunct Assistant Professor, B.J. Isetts, Stratton, R. Vaidyanathan, L.A. Hillman, and J.C. Schommer were published by the Journal of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy for their research on “An exploratory QUALquan comparison for patient-centeredness priorities in outpatient care for patient and pharmacists.”

Olson was interviewed by Minnesota Public Radio News on how “Medical respite provides vital care to people experiencing homelessness.” March 4, 2022.

Laura Palombi, Assistant Professor, testified in support of House File 2768 (Senate File 2678) before the Minnesota House of Representatives Health, Finance and Policy Committee. March 8, 2022. The bill would allow pharmacists to administer prescribed injectable medications through subcutaneous (SQ) or intramuscular (IM) routes and allow pharmacists to place external drug monitoring devices on patients.

Palombi, M. Gurno, and B. Bilden presented "Naloxone to Reverse Opioid Overdose” at the Northeastern Minnesota Treatment Courts Naloxone Training. February 23, 2022.

Palombi received the “Pharmacy Alumni Society 2022 Mentor of the Year Award.” 

David Stenehjem, Associate Professor, was interviewed by Inside Precision Medicine on "The Rise of Precision Prescribing.” February 16, 2022
