Why did you choose to work at UMD?
I love working and meeting students during a really exciting point in their lives! They're becoming their own people and facing a lot of new moments; having full control of their time, learning about their career interests, and connecting with a new community they'll call home. Just watching people grow and find out something new about themselves is really rewarding to me!
What do you like most about your job?
I really like connecting with people; faculty, staff, students, everyone! But I have to say, the people who work here are really passionate about their jobs. No matter where you are here, there's someone who will take a moment for you.
Do you have any advice for students?
Make sure you try at least one new thing you've never considered before; taking a class, showing up to a student club, or trying an outdoor activity at the RSOP Center because it sounds interesting. You will find something unexpected you love to take with you after your time here!
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like trying new things—which means there's a lot of options here in Duluth! I've barely scratched the surface. I love exploring the community here and attending all the festivals! Plus this winter I'm looking forward to learning curling!
