More Information:

Returning for its third year, students in Assistant Professor Teresa Bertossi’s Sustainable Food Systems class (with help from the Land Lab) are putting on a pumpkin compost drive to collect community pumpkins after Halloween. The goal is to keep pumpkins out of the landfill, and divert them to the Land Lab where they can be converted into compost.

People can drop off their to-be-composted pumpkins from Wednesday, November 2 to Friday, November 4 in Maroon Lot B and the Bagley white lot. The pumpkins will then be transported to the UMD Land Lab to be composted.

Please use the correct dumpsters and ensure candles are out of the Jack O’Lanterns before placing them.
